The Montana Department of Labor and Industry is the state agency which enforces Montana's discrimination laws. The Human Rights Bureau of the Department receives and investigates complaints of discrimination. The Hearings Bureau of the Department conducts hearings in discrimination cases. The Montana Human Rights Commission hears appeals of decisions by the hearings examiner and decisions of the Human Rights Bureau to dismiss cases.
