New Medical Director
The Worker’s Compensation Claims Assistance Bureau and the Employment Relations Division would like to welcome Dr Carla Huitt, MD, MPH as the new medical director. Dr Huitt’s ties to the Rocky Mountain west are strong as she grew up in Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in Biochemistry and she then completed her Masters at the University of Idaho. After which she graduated from Medical school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr Huitt had training in internal medicine at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. She completed her Residency and Fellowship in Occupational and Environmental Medicine from John Hopkins School of Medicine. At the same time she completed her Masters in Public Health to become board certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. She is sought after for her expertise in Independent Medical Examinations and for her experience in the clinical treatment and management of injured workers as well.
