Hours Worked
- Includes all the times an employee is required to be on duty or on the employer's premises or at a prescribed work place and all the time during which he is suffered or permitted to work for the employer.

- Rest Breaks

- Meal periods unless certain criteria are met
There is not a federal or Montana state law that requires an employer furnish a meal break; however, if provided the following criteria would need to be met for it to be a bona fide period in which the time is not work time:24.16.1006, ARM (Administrative Rules of Montana)
- completely relieved of duty, and
- at least 30 minutes in duration.
- Time spent waiting

- Staff/Business meetings and Training
Not work time if:24.16.1009, ARM (Administrative Rules of Montana)
- attendance is outside of employee's regular working hours,
- attendance is voluntary,
- not directly related to employee's job, and
- employee does not perform any productive work during attendance.
- Sleeping time on a shift of less than 24 hours
