Determining Montana Hospital Rates for Workers' Compensation
Section 39-71-704 (4), Montana Code Annotated, limits hospital rate increases to the state's average weekly wage increase. Pursuant to ARM 24.29.1425, the discount factors shown below have been calculated to maintain rates payable at the allowable levels, which include the July 1, 2004, discount factor increase of 3.49 percent.
The Department is either waiting to receive reports or is currently in the process of calculating rate factors from the following hospital. The July 1, 2004, discount factor increase and other factors will be applied as soon as the rate change reports are received and verified.
Insurers may decide to hold reimbursements for dates of service back to the due date rather than seek reimbursement for any overpayments.
