OSHA 10 Training

The Outreach Section provides free OSHA 10-Hour Training in Construction and General Industry in for high schools, colleges and youth groups across the state. This 10-Hour training typically occurs over a two, sometimes three day period.  To see what dates are available, please contact one of the instructors listed below.

Instructor Profiles

Berke Brown - Eastern Montana

Berke is a native Montanan. He was born in Helena and was raised in the Laurel area. Berke has worked for Stillwater Mining Company, where he learned rules and regulations. Berke has applied his knowledge & experience to work for Mine Safety & Health Administration and the State of Montana, Safety & Health Bureau as mine trainer/inspector. Berke is currently an authorized OSHA Outreach Construction trainer for the State of Montana, Safety & Health Bureau. Berke now has 14 years of safety experience. Berke and his wife resides in Billings with their children and stepchildren.

Fred Miller - Western Montana

Fred specialized in workers’ compensation as a commercial insurance agent in Helena and Great Falls for Liberty Northwest and Western States. He also worked as a journalist in Lewistown, Havre, and Great Falls. He currently is a Safety Specialist with the Montana Safety Bureau, helping workers and businesses understand the importance of workplace safety and how to identify and eliminate workplace hazards. He has earned the Associate of Risk Management and Associate of Underwriting designations from the Insurance Institute of America.
